The Beginning.

Domaine Costa Lazaridi with distinctive title “Chateau Julia”, was founded in Adriani, Drama in 1992.

Starting with a small 10 hectare vineyard we cultivate today over 200 hectares with the nobles Greek and international varieties maintaining low yields to ensure the best possible quality of raw material.

From three wines to five families

The first bottles were marketed in 1992. Amethystos white, Amethystos Rose and Amethystos Red. Today the Estate produces five families of wines, Amethystos, Chateau Julia, Domaine Costa Lazaridi, Oenodea and Oenotria Land.

Expansion: Spirits, Balsamic Vinegars

At the same time in a modern distillery we produce the Idoniko Tsipouro (Greek grappa), named after the ancient inhabitants of the area, the Idones, the Methexis grape spirits from Moscato, Chardonnay και Cabernet Sauvignon and the aged Methexis Cigar from Sauvignon Blanc.

In the end of 2006, after years of research, we introduced a new family of products, the Aceto Botanico, in the lines of the Italian Balsamic vinegar.

Beyond the borders

Alongside the success in the Greek market the company put great emphasis on exports in order for our products to compete in the difficult international market. Beginning with Germany we now export to Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Switzerland, Austria, Cyprus, and Albania as well as the United States, Canada, China, Brazil, Australia and Singapore.


As part of theEstate’s product promotion policy the company takes part in important wine exhibition around the world such as PROWEIN in Germany.

In terms of international awards in the biggest and most prestigious competitions in the world the Estate has to show an extensive collection of over 700 awards and distinctions among which many gold medals.

Oenotria Gi — Athens, Kapandriti

In 2006 Oenotria Gi Costa Lazaridi was completed and began operation in Kapandriti, Attica. It is a complex of about 10.500 sq.m. which includes indoor and outdoor areas for social and professional events, the Costa Lazaridi Wine Museum, ageing cellars as well as tasting room for professionals and winelovers. The facilities are completed by a small modern winery and a model 20 hectare organically cultivated vineyard where the Oenotria Land wines are produced.
