The «BOULIOU BROS. – CHR. THOLOULLIS» – «WINERY GAZORITIS» company achieved legal status in 2006 with its home in Gazoro Serres and housed in a refurbished building of warehouses next to the Gazoro train station.
The «Gazoritis» winery has been a result of the passion for quality wine, of the brothers John and Sotiris Boulios and friend Christos Tholoulis and has been functioning as a continuance of the local vineyard – winemaking tradition of the area.
The tradition and knowledge of the founding families of our winery, since 1955 in vineyards and winemaking, was passed on and evolved through time, creating today, with the aid of modern technology, excellent wines.
Love of wine, methodical work, commitment and investment in high quality standards along with the continuing quest for perfection has created the wines you can now taste and promisses the production of new, excellent wines, in the future.
The ancient city of Gazoro, which was founded in 700 b.c. by the Hedons, has a tradition in winemaking as is evident by the writing on a column (158 a.c.) that was found in the region of St.Athanasios in Gazoro, where ruins of the temple of Artemis of Gazoro were also found.
