Alla about Achaia, Peloponnese.

Our company is a family owed winery founded in 1936 in Patras, North-West of Peloponnese. The winery is located at the small town of Kato Achaia 18 kilometers out of Patras.

We achieved the best quality for our DOC wines, Mavrodaphne of Patras and Muscat of Patras in the last five years.. These wines are in the category O.P.E (wines of appellation of controlled origin), which is an equivalent of the French AC (appellation d’origin controllée). We aged various vintages of Mavrodaphne, in new oak barrels and we pay great attention to the final product.

We also make the Achais White, a blend of Muscat and Roditis varieties and Achais Red from Cabernet Sauvignon and Mavrodaphne. We also produce the traditional Greek wine Retsina witch is made from white dry by adding a small amount of resin.

Some of the most well known varietals such as Mavrodaphne and Muscat, Roditis and Agiorgitiko are cultivated in the region of the North Peloponnese (prefecture of Achaia), where our firm is also located. The O.P.E. wines Mavrodaphne of Patras and Muscat of Patras and wines classified as VQPRD, Patras and Nemea are produced from these varietals.
