maziI was quite happily astonished, looking at the wine-list of this restaurant! They obvisiously are taking a leading role in acknowledging the quality of Greek wines. Some of my favourites: Gerovassiliou, Malagousia, 2011,  Bottle ₤ 37 and Thymiopoulos Earth & Sky, Xinomavro, 2007,  Bottle ₤ 44, both very reasonably priced! I sure know now where to eat, when in London! Here is their complete winelist.

Mazi's own philosophy quote: “Our vision is to show the rest of the world how innovative, tasty and refined Greek food can be. We derive our inspiration from the traditional Greek table and reinterpret old time classic recipes with a modern twist. MAZI, which means “together” in Greek, revives the sharing culinary tradition of Greece and is at the very core of our restaurants’ concept.

To stay authentic within MAZIs’ originality, we take pride in importing most of our ingredients from Greece and source the fresh produce from local independent suppliers. In fact, we are so passionate about our Greek food that MAZI offers a selection of artisanal Greek delicacies and premium spirits available in our deli section.

Set in charming Notting Hill, Mazi also enjoys a beautiful sunny garden.
You might as well surrender to the temptation…”
